Each year the Museum holds several major fundraising events that help to support our mission of preserving Jewish history and its rich heritage.

Upcoming Events

22nd Annual Generation to Generation Dinner
Thursday, November 4, 2009, 5:30PM
Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place, New York City

As the Museum approaches its bar mitzvah, this year’s dinner will focus on the stories of survivors who came of age during the Holocaust.   At a young age, they often assumed great responsibilities despite unimaginable challenges.  As we reflect on these experiences, including acts of spiritual resistance such as a clandestine bar mitzvah, it is particularly meaningful for us to remember those who were not able to celebrate their coming of age and be thankful for those who survived to share these simchas with their children and grandchildren.

Sponsored by the Museum’s Associates and Young Friend’s Divisions, this event brings together Holocaust survivors, their families and friends to pay tribute to the six million Jews who perished, while honoring those individuals who survived to rebuild their families and communities. An online commemorative journal accompanies the dinner.

Past Events

Eighth Annual Golf and Tennis Outing

Monday, August 2, 9:30 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Old Oaks Country Club, Purchase, New York

Over 100 guests enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, tennis, raffles, an auction, delicious food and great company in a bucolic setting.  One of the more enjoyable ways to support our important programs, this year’s event was enhanced by the addition of a leisure ticket, which allowed for lounging by the pool and games of mah jongg, canasta, ping pong, and bridge.

For more information, call Rebecca Sanders at 646.437.4338.

21st Annual Generation to Generation Dinner

Last year’s dinner highlighted the opening of Voices of Liberty, the first phase of the Museum’s Keeping History Center. This interactive audio exhibit surrounded visitors with diverse voices telling their stories of arriving in America for the first time.
