Upcoming Events 14th Annual Heritage Dinner Thursday, May 13, 2010, 6:30 PM This year our honoree will be Morton B. Zuckerman, Chairman & CEO, Boston Properties, Inc. Dinner Chair is Peter Davoren, President & CEO, Turner Construction Company. This event will be held throughout the Museum's facilities, allowing guests to explore the exhibitions, enjoy our views, and attend a program in Edmond J. Safra Hall that includes the presentation of the Heritage Award. This event attracts the corporate and business communities, bringing together current and new members of the Corporate Partner Program as well as other Museum supporters. Summer Cocktail Party Monday, August 3, 2009 Museum of Jewish Heritage In lieu of our annual Golf and Tennis Outing, this year the Museum hosted a special event that provided our supporters with insider access to the Museum, including cocktails and food, private tours of our exhibits, and spectacular views of the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty. More than 220 guests attended and showed their support for the Museum. Spring Women's Luncheon Benefit Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. The Pierre Hotel, Manhattan In a change from tradition, the Museum welcomed its first male Luncheon guest speaker, Hon. Robert M. Morgenthau, the Manhattan District Attorney and Chairman of the Museum. The luncheon was chaired by Patti Kenner and Ann Oster and included a silent auction during the pre-lunch reception. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Museum Community Fund, which enables us to provide free or reduced-cost access to school and community groups who are not able to afford Museum admission. Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation Dinner Monday, June 1, 2009 Tom Brokaw and other special guests honored the achievements of the Auschwitz Jewish Center and the Founders, especially Fred and Allyne Schwartz, and other major donors, whose vision, perseverance, and accomplishments brought us to the status we have achieved today. We also recognized and welcomed the future leaders of the American Military who have taken part in the American Service Academies Program since its inception five years ago. 13th Annual Heritage Dinner Monday, May 18, 2009 This year, our honoree was Larry A. Silverstein, Museum Trustee and President of Silverstein Properties, Inc. The Co-Chairs were Bernard W. Nussbaum and John E. Zuccotti. This event was held throughout the Museum's facilities, allowing guests to explore the exhibitions, enjoy the views, and attend a program in Edmond J. Safra Hall that included the presentation of the Heritage Award. |
