Q: What types of speakers participate in the Speakers Bureau?
A: The Speakers Bureau consists of Holocaust survivors, witnesses, veterans, and teachers. Speakers are adept at sharing their insights with many diverse audiences and providing an emotional, intimate, and life-changing experience.

Q: How much does it cost to have a speaker talk to my group?
A: There is no set fee, but the Museum suggests a donation of $100. You may need to also provide transportation for the speaker if she or he lives far away or if mobility is an issue.

Q: How much time should we schedule to hear a survivor’s testimony?
A: A speaker needs a minimum of one hour to tell his/her story.

Q: How far in advance should I book a speaker?
A: You should contact us at least three weeks in advance. If you would like to arrange for a speaker around Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), please note that this is a particularly busy time, and a booking should be made minimally three months in advance.

Q: Can a speaker talk to a few of my classes?
A: Yes, but in the interest of the speaker’s comfort and well-being, we do not ask them to speak to multiple groups on one day. If you want more than one class to hear from the speaker, you should arrange for them to gather into one group for the event.
